REGISTRATION OPENS FOR THE 1st ANNUAL TRI KEY WEST.

Stay Fit Studio announced that registration is officially open for the first ever Olympic/Sprint distant Key West Triathlon, coming to Key West on December 5, 2010. Locally owned and operated Stay Fit Studio will debut the TRI Key West (TRIKW) as part of their continued commitment to fitness and wellness and its involvement in the community.

Registrants can go here for application and information for the upcoming event. Registration fees are $125 for The Olympic Distance and $75 for the shorter Sprint Distance triathlon (military discount available). In addition a relay competition will also be held.

Medals and awards will be given to all participants with special trophies for top three in each age category. The TRIKW weekend event will feature an Expo on Saturday and Sunday, December 4 and 5, 2010 with a pre-triathlon dinner Saturday night. The gun will sound at 7:30 am on Sunday, December 5.

TRIKW has been sanctioned by USA Triathlon. The event will feature the swim portion in the Gulf of Mexico starting at The Marriott Beachside, followed by the bike portion along the Overseas Highway North to the Naval Air Station Key West Boca Chica and heading back South concluding with the run portion along the Atlantic Ocean on South Roosevelt Blvd..
